Week of April 22nd

Another week, wow, time is going by so fast!  The days seem so long, but the weeks just fly by.  Monday was a day of housework.  Tuesday I had a list of quite a few things I wanted to get done, but that all came to a screeching halt when the nurses office called and said Hailey wasn't feeling well.  She said she had been laying with her head down at her desk all morning, and had been in the nurses office laying down for an hour.  I got there, and she was laying on a bed, poor girl.  She looked miserable and said she was achy.  I got her home and she threw up ten minutes later.  I found out from her teacher that there was a throw up bug going around, and lots of kids were going home sick.  About an hour after she got sick, Addy got it.  I won't go into details, but she pretty much nailed me with her puke....fun times!  Luckily it was a short bug, and they were better within 24 hours.  I kept Hailey home from school the next day, but she was her usual feisty self, so I probably should've sent her...haha.  Thursday was the "road rally" in the cul-de-sac.  After dinner, for a couple of hours, we all come out and chat, and let the kids play and ride bikes.  I am getting to know a lot more neighbors, it's nice.  Friday Hailey had a dance rehearsal at her teachers church, so Addy and I went along.  The girls did great, and Addy was behind them, copying everything they were doing.  It was so cute, I wished I had gotten it on video.  I've decided that Saturdays are going to be about the kids.  I feel like I'm always trying to distract them with this and that, that way I can get things done.  I don't really stop and "play" with them that often lately.  So, we woke up and made pancakes together.  After that it was a LONG bike ride and then we went to visit Nana & Papa and Cassi and the girls.  That night it was donuts and a movie.  We had a great day.  The bike ride was a lot of fun, but we experienced something scary.  We were riding along the canal, and a little three year old boy that was riding his bike with his dad rode his bike into the canal.  He was busy looking at the horses, and just rode right in.  The dad jumped in right after him.  At first the little boy didn't want to let go of his dad, and wouldn't come to me, but after a minute he did.  He was a trooper and didn't even cry!  It was probably more terrifying for me....haha.  Thoughts of kids and adults getting pulled under in canals were coming to my thoughts.  Luckily there were some horse trainers nearby that heard the commotion and ran over to get the dad and bike out.  I was definitely awake after that little incident...haha.  Sunday Jaren had to work, and the girls and I ran a few errands to get ready for our vacation!  We decided to take the girls to Disneyland next week, and we are SO SO SO excited!  The girls went swimming that evening.  I didn't swim, just sat and watched.  I didn't hear them complain about it being cold once, so it must be warming up a little!

 Cute little sisters ♥♥

 Love these girls!

Racing!  They are definitely competitive with each other!  If I
want them to do something, and they are dragging their feet,
all I have to say is "beat Hailey, or beat Addy", and they
will zoom zoom zoom!!

Us girls took the car to get an oil change.  While we were
waiting, we went for a walk.  Wish my girls got along
this good all the time!!

Our adventurous bike ride.  Hailey loved riding over
the freeway overpass.  Addy kept saying "we're
on a bridge, we're on a bridge!"

The canal that we will NEVER be riding next to again...haha.

Lucky Addy got to get a ride in the bike trailer.

By the time we got home from our bike ride, it was HOT.
Hailey pretty much came home and stripped her clothes off...haha.

Poor little Addy was not a happy camper the last
little bit of the ride, it was too hot!

Addy loves building towers.  I'm running out of activities
for her during the day, I need to get on Pinterest so
I can be ready for summer boredom!

Hailey's cute little suit that we got her for the
beach for our vacation next week!

Of course Addy had to try it out too :)

 Playing in the tub...silly girls!

Hailey helping make pancakes Saturday morning.  This
girl could eat only pancakes & waffles for the rest
of her life and be one HAPPY girl!!

 "Get in my belly!!"......haha.

Movie night with donuts that Papa bought them.  Thanks Papa!!

This was right after we told them we were going to
Disneyland!  They were SO excited.  I'm pretty sure
Addy had no clue what Disneyland was, but she
knew to be excited over it...haha.

The girls are loving swimming!  They play so well in the pool.
It's fun to listen to them pretend they are mermaids and ducks!
