Disney Vacation

We left for California on Tuesday April 30th.  We were SO excited, and the girls were SO SO SO excited.  They both did awesome in the car, I was so proud of them.  Six hours in a car has got to be tough on a kid.  We went armed with distractions..... lunch, snacks, suckers, movies and games.  We thought for sure they would fall asleep, but NOPE!  Actually, at one point Addy fell asleep and Jaren was worried she was going to get a sore neck, so he told me to put a pillow by her head.  As soon as I did, BAM, she was wide awake...haha.  We stopped a couple of times for a few minutes, and made good timing.  We got there and checked into the hotel, which was AWESOME!  The girls loved checking out the rooms and closets and kitchen, and bounced on the couches.  We loved the hotel because it included a hot breakfast and dinner buffet!  So the first night we went to the buffet and had spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread and salad.  That night we tried getting the girls down early for our big day at Disney, but Addy was WIRED!  The room was pitch black, the rest of us were in bed, and Addy was down on the floor playing doggy for thirty minutes...haha.  It's funny now, but in the moment it was driving us nuts!  The next morning we woke up and went downstairs for breakfast, and then took the shuttle over to the parks.  We hit Califonia Adventure Park first.  Hailey was being all brave and talking about all the scary rides, and insisted on going on the Tower of Terror first.  Jaren took her to that while Addy and I rode the smaller rides.  Addy had a blast, but Hailey did not...haha.  She was scared, but hey, we tried to tell her.  We spent half the day there, going on lots of fun rides and eating lunch.  It was 70's and overcast, a perfect day.  The rest of the day we headed over to Disneyland.  We had tons of fun, but it was BUSY BUSY BUSY!  We will never go again in May.  We got home around 8:30 that night, and the girls were pretty tired, but Addy had a hard time falling asleep again, and even had a night terror, it was awful!  The next day was 95 degrees and stinking HOT!  We must have bought six lemonades within a couple of hours from each other.  It tasted so good because we were literally sweating and miserable with the heat, but still had fun going on rides.  We split our day at the two parks again, and got home around 8:30 again. The next day we hit the beach, and it was a blast.  Addy wasn't too sure of the water at first, but then relaxed and had a blast.  Both girls loved going in the water once it receded, and then tried to outrun it back to the shoreline.  They must've done that seven million times!  It was fun, but Jaren and I got pretty sunburned.  Jaren got it really bad on his legs.  I was calling him lobster legs, then I felt bad because they became BRIGHT red and his feet actually swelled up pretty bad!  We will never forget the sunscreen on our legs again...haha.  That afternoon we had Red Robin takeout and watched 80's movies, Big and Goonies.  It was nice just to relax in the hotel.  We packed up the next morning after breakfast and headed home.  It was a great vacation, but tiring one.  We will definitely be going back, probably in a few years.

 On the road....ready to GO!!!

Waiting for the shuttle to take us
to day one of Disney!  Cutie Pie!!

 Ready for our first day.

Look at these two cute girls!  This was on
our way to ride Tower of Tower!

Addy patiently waiting for the bumper cars!

The Ariel ride.  This was one of our favorites.  The girls loved it
because it was Ariel, of course, and Jaren and I loved it because you
could sit down and relax for five minutes, and it was nice and cool in there!
We must've rode this at least 8 times.  There is a part where she is singing "ahhh
ahhhh ahhhhh", and we would all do it, busting up laughing.  It was so fun! We
even would sing it on the other rides...we are dorks, but we have fun!

The girls loved this popsicle stick bench.

Hailey on one of the rides.

The ferris wheel.  These things terrify me, but this time it
wasn't so bad.  Addy, on the other hand, was not loving it.

 Happy Girl!!

This was on the ferris wheel, it was all good at the beginning,
then once the cars started "sliding" on the rails, Addy got freaked!
I don't blame her, poor girl, we were HIGH up!

 Look at that happy face!

Love this cute girl!  Hailey was super excited at even the little
things, like this small Pinocchio statue.

 Princess Hailey, LOVE this picture!

Walking through a really awesome, HUGE tree house. If we ever win
the lotto, maybe we can get one in our backyard....haha.

Hailey could've played in the tree house for hours!

I told Jaren he should've put some clothes on
before I took this pic....haha.

Hailey giving the rope a try!

While Jaren & Hailey were off riding Splash Mountain, Addy
and I got in the LONG line for a Dole pineapple whip.  It
was pretty yummy, and hit the spot on a hot day!

The girlies and I.

This little stinker LOVED the tea cups.  Luckily there wasn't too
big of a line each time, so we went about eight times.

Addy loved this little Alice and Wonderland house.

Vroom vroom.

Our little pirate Addy enjoying a corndog after
waking up from a nap.

The girls and I riding the rocket ride.  Addy is not a
fan of heights, but she still had fun.

Hailey Bug getting ready for a train ride.

On the train.  It was a nice to get off of our feet for a bit.

Addy being goofy with Jaren, she sure loves her daddy ♥♥

I despise getting my picture taken!  But....guess I should have
a few in here of me to prove I was there...haha.

Hailey on It's a Small World ride.  She already knew the song
and was excited to hear it on the ride.

After day one, she was one tired girl.

Addy, on the other hand, not so much.  Here Addy was
pretending to be tired next to Hailey.

We bough a generic brand Ipad from craigslist, and Addy
got hooked on it while on vacation.  There is a baby game where
she can feed, dress and bathe a baby, and she just LOVES it.  There
are also tons of learning apps, which we really like.

Day two of Disney.  These were the clothes they picked out
for day one at Disney, but both got food all over them at breakfast,
so we had to wash them and wear them the second day.  Hailey was so
excited to wear her "minnie mouse" clothes, and Addy had on a
Snow White princess dress, they looked so cute!

Waiting for the shuttle, day two.

Day two was SO flipping hot!  95 degrees.  We
were sweating and SO thirsty!  Lemonade never tasted so good!

Giant cone the girls thought was cool.

The rapids ride.  It felt so good to go on this one and get wet.  This
is probably one of my favorite rides!

 Picture from the bridge.

Addy watching Hailey & Jaren go by.

The girls loved seeing Goofy dance!

Stud muffin Jaren and Hailey Bug.  He would die if he knew
I was calling him that on the blog...haha.

On their way to a ride.  I think Addy felt "safe" having
Hailey there with her on the rides :)

 Our little picture poser...haha.

 Addy getting tired, and HOT!

 Silly girl!

Such fun making memories at Disneyland!

The spinning ladybug ride.  It was actually pretty rough, and I
had to hold onto Addy so she wouldn't slide off the seat.

♥♥♥

 Pizza & chocolate milk break....Mmmmmmmmm!

Ummmm....I think she either grew, or her shirt shrunk...haha.

Meeting Sleeping Beauty!  This was the only princess
we saw there the entire time!

She asked them to twirl in their dresses, it was so cute!

She was asking them lots of questions, and Addy
started to get shy, then ran back to us...haha.

 Cute little Hailey!

I can't believe that Addy wasn't afraid of him.  She
even gave him a high five!!

Our little monkeys waiting in line for a ride.

Hailey loved going with Jaren on the rides!

This was towards the end of day two, the girls
were getting hot and tired!

Tea Cup FUN!

Hailey kept knocking on the door
like someone lived there...haha.

 More tea cup fun!

This was a huge boat.  I think Addy was
in need of a new diaper...haha.

Hailey loved going upstairs on the boat.

This was one of the last things we did on day two, and
the girls were getting tired.

Winnie the Pooh ride, which we rode a ton!

The girls got to pick out on souvenir.  Addy got some
little plastic princesses.

Hailey chose a Rapunzel doll, which she LOVES!
