Sticky Hands

Addy needed a tissue, so I told her to go get some toilet paper.  I forgot she had been using a glue stick, and when she came back she said "they keep sticking to my hands"...haha.  It was so funny!

Dirt Cake

Last time we went to the library, we picked up these Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew chapter books.  We have been reading them each night, and Hailey loves them!  The chapters are pretty long, so I usually only read her two.  When I tell her that's it for the night, she begs for another chapter.  She's like me, she cannot stand the suspense, and has to know what's going to happen.  When we finished one the other night that was about April Fool's Day, there was a recipe in the back for dirt cake.  Hailey was super excited to make it, and wanted to trick Jaren.

 Super cute books!

Ready to start making the cake.

 Crushing the oreos, what fun!

 Love that cute girls smile!

 Filling the sand pail.

All done, they were so excited.  Jaren walked in about two seconds
after I took this picture.  I told the girls "don't tell him so we can try
to trick him."  Well, Addy didn't understand that, and she ran to tell
him, which left Hailey in tears...poor girl!  Then Addy got upset
and she was in tears too...fun fun!

Eating their cake in the tub, the best place
to eat messy desserts!

Trunk or Treat

The ward trunk or treat was last Saturday.  My back was hurting, so we only went for the last hour.  The girls went in the bounce house once, played a little bowling game, and mostly ran around a grassy area kicking a ball with some other kids.  Rachel, Dusty and Elsie came, it was fun.  Poor Addy, her witch costume was too long, and she kept tripping over it and face planting in the grass.  When it was time for the trick or treating, the girls had so much fun.  This was Addy's first year of really understanding how it worked.  We made sure to tell the girls to say thank you after getting their candy.  At one car, Addy said "gwank you", and they didn't hear her over all the noise.  She sat there saying "gwank you", over and over, getting louder each time, it was so funny!  This is picture overload, but I couldn't help myself, they look so cute!  Hailey is getting so grown up.  I especially love the ones where she's acting silly!

Hailey the Waitress

Hailey has always loved to play restaurant, but since she went out to eat about a month ago with Jaren, Jim and John, she has wanted to play waitress A LOT.  I wasn't there, but according to her, the waitress carried five plates at once, and she was in awe!  Since then, she has attempted this a few times, mostly with bowls of cereal, full of milk, as I stand by cringing....lol.  This day, she wanted to make Jaren a salad and take his order and serve it to him.  She's so cute!

She helped make that yummy looking salad.  Then she
pretended she was actually going to eat it!  Yeah right,
I'd be dreaming if this little girl ate a salad!  Although, I guess
I can't blame her, I'm still not a big veggie eater.

 Getting goofy, classic Hailey!

 "Your drink, sir".

 "Your silverware and napkin".

"Your salad".

She's so funny to listen to.  I told her next time she needs
to where her waitress outfit and write his order
down on a notepad.

Addy and her Do a Dots

Addy LOVES her do a dots, or as she calls them, her doody dots.  In the span of two days, this little girly did about fifty pages of them!!  She works so hard on them, and then lays them out on the floor to dry.  It's the perfect little activity for her.

These are the perfect way for little hands to paint, without
all the mess.  Addy LOVES them!!  I highly recommend them.

I  make circles for her to "dot".
I make all sorts of designs for her, mostly letters
so she can get practice with them, but also trees,
pumpkins, houses and more.  I have to say though,
after two days of "doody dots", I was getting tired
of them.  But I couldn't say no when she said "mommy,
can I do my doody dots?" in the sweetest voice ever ♥

 So proud of herself!

Halloween Artwork

Hailey Bug LOVES to do anything crafty.  I feel bad that we don't  do it very often.  Anytime I ask her if she wants to do crafts, she usually jumps up and down and screams so loud it hurts my ears.  I think Santa will definitely be bringing her some crafty stuff this Christmas.  I don't have much in the way of craft things, so this day we just got out construction paper, but she loved it!  She's so sweet, she even brought one to her teacher the next day.  Hailey LOVES to give things to people, whether it's artwork, money from her piggy bank or even something they already have (she will wrap up something I have and give it to me like it's new...haha).  Love my sweet Hailey ♥♥

 Deciding what to make.

Hard at work, our pretty little Hailey Bug.

This was a spider, made out of her hand prints.

Dirt

We have an area in our backyard where the yard slopes, and the water gathers.  Since we just had winter grass planted, the sprinklers are on a lot, so this area is pretty much pooled with water and mud constantly.  Yesterday the girls were playing outback, and when I called them in for dinner, to my surprise, they were completely muddy!!  I was not a happy momma!  I know I need to learn to chill, but I was feeling behind on getting them fed and bathed and whatnot already.  So, in the tub they went!

Fast forward to tonight.  Before going outside to play, I told them DO NOT get in that muddy area of the grass!  They played for awhile, and when I went to get them, I see this.......

 Haha...so cute!

Hailey had buried a big brick in the soil, and
was telling Addy it was a bone.

Addy said "I'm digging for my bone"....haha.

My first instinct was to say "I told you girls not to get in the mud".....but, I thought about it for a second.  They actually did listen to me, they just got into different mud....haha.  KIDS!!!  I love these two little stinkers so much.  I know I will look back on these days that seem so stressful at times, and miss them!

Hailey was covered in it!  Jaren hosed her off
and she screamed "I'm freezing", and ran in the
house to get into the tub, where they ate
our dessert, dirt cake, which was rather fitting...lol.
