Week of April 1, 2013

Holy crud...it's April already, how did that happen?!  I feel like I was just picking out Christmas gifts for the girls.  Time is flying by, WAY too fast!  I can't believe Hailey only has about seven weeks of school left, then she will be a first grader!  Summer is fast approaching, and I definitely want to keep the girls busy busy busy!  I have lots of ideas, thanks to Pinterest, but I need to get organized, so I actually do them!  Anyhow, this week was just a regular week.  Not much going on except school and work.  I did go with Hailey on her first zoo field trip, which was pretty fun.  I thought it would be hotter, but it wasn't too bad.  The kids had lots of fun, and it made me realize that a lot of the things I get mad at Hailey for doing, are things most kids do.  I really need to learn not to sweat the small stuff.  Hailey had Friday off from school, and she got to have cousins John & Reagan over, then got to play with the neighbor girls for a couple of hours.  Saturday us girls went to garage sales, which they LOVE to do.  After that, Hailey got to go to Makenzey's house for a few hours.  Saturday night us girls went on a little playdate with the neighbor girls and their mom.  We went out for frozen yogurt and the girls got to play near a water fountain while us moms chatted.  We had lots of fun!  Sunday we did some things around the house, and then went to Jim & Gwen's house.  Hailey got to swim in the pool for the first time this season and had lots of fun.  They invited us to stay for a yummy dinner and dessert afterward.  All in all it was a great weekend.  Next week should be a busy week, with appointments, Rosa's viewing and funeral, and Addy's eye doctor appointment.

Ordered our first blog book, and it turned out AWESOME!  I love that
keeping a blog is so easy, and my girls will have a book full of
their childhood memories!!

Addy helping plant corn.  She loved putting the
seeds in and covering them with dirt!

 Watering the new seeds.

Hailey getting ready to pull the baby carrots out.  We tried
an experiment of planting them in buckets.  We had some
pretty decent sized ones, and some not so much...haha.  Next
time they will need to be thinned a little better.

 Addy with her carrots!

Addy & I made Rainbow Rice.  She had lots of fun squishing
the rice to make it colorful.  I love the bottom right picture of
her outside, waiting patiently for it to dry.

Addy couldn't wait til Hailey came home to show her the rice we
made.  I must've been crazy, because I let them play with it right
after I had just mopped the floors!  It didn't make too much of a mess,
they were really good at staying on the sheet I put out, so I
guess it was worth it.  They played for a good two hours!

Making cakes and playing with the funnel.

Who knew rice could be so much FUN?!

Another Pinterest idea, pool noodles in the tub!  The girls had
lots of fun playing in them, counting them, and trying to
stack them as high as they could.  Cheap fun!

Our little singers!  So cute.  I love how Addy is
always watching Hailey and trying to copy her!

Fun with cousins John & Reagan.  The big pool is too
cold still, but they still had fun in the kiddie pool and
the hose!  These kids have lots of fun together!

This is what happens when you have girls...you buy WAY too many
clothes, because they are all just too cute.  I had been putting off this
project for way too long.  Half of these went into the attic, and half
back into Addy's room for summer and next winter.
The girls getting ready to go out for frozen yogurt with the neighbors.

 Our "wild child"....haha.

The girls playing with a bead kit.  They had lots of fun
making jewelry.  This kept Hailey busy for a good hour.

 Addy admiring her bracelet.

Hailey's pretty necklace.

One of our garage sale finds.  The girls have been having lots
of fun with this little barbie house.  It's pretty simple, but makes
some sounds, and the girls love it.  $3 well spent in my mind.
