Celebrating Elsie & Luke's Birthdays
Cousins Elsie and Luke have really close birthdays, so we had a joint birthday party at our house. It was lots of fun with pizza and cake and ice cream. Elsie parents brought a pinata which was really funny! As soon as it broke open, the kids were like wild animals trying to get the candy...haha! Our family gatherings are so fun, we really need to do them more often.
Flip Flops
A friend of mine came over a few weeks ago and had the cutest flip flops on. She was telling me how she made them, and that it was so easy! We decided to get together soon and make them. In the meantime, I had to come up with an activity for Activity Days, so we did flip flops. The day before, Addy and Hailey asked if they could make some. They turned out really cute!
Haha...we made the flowers a little too big! They look
more like slippers since you cant see her feet! We will
have to go smaller next time!
Static Electricity
I had to run an errand one evening and Jaren was home with the kids. I was secretly hoping that he would listen to my hints and have the girls bathed by the time I got home. Instead, he called telling me I needed to come home and take pictures of the girls, because it was hilarious! He was pulling them around on a sheet on the trampoline, and their hair was sticking out all sorts of crazy ways from the static electricity. Haha...such a fun dad! He ended up getting the camera and taking pictures, and like a good hubby, had the girls all bathed and ready for bed by the time I got home ♥♥
My Little Helper
Addy LOVES to help in the kitchen. Sometimes, I have to admit, it's easier to do it myself, but I can't resist when she says "I want to help", in her sweet little voice. Here are some pics from the last couple of weeks with my little helper....
See how happy it makes her? Such a sweet smile!
Don't worry, she wasn't fully naked....she had
pants on...haha!
Making mini chocolate chip muffins. We made these one day
and the girls scarfed them down. The next time I tried to make
it a bit healthier and instead of one cup of flour, I used 3/4's cup
and 1/4 cup wheat flour. Hailey knew right away!!! The little
stinker didn't want them! I have a very hard time getting her
to eat anything but white bread, wheat is totally out of the question!
Time for a break from cooking!
Her & Gia waiting for the muffins!
