Both girls had an excellent year. All through preschool and kindergarten, Addy had really bad anxiety about being separated from me. This year, she did amazing! Go Addy. The first few weeks were rough, even though I was the aide in her class for the first few hours, and stayed at school all day! It was almost to the point of me having to be taken out of her class, but she turned it around, and I got to stay all year. She had a couple of little crying incidents, poor girl, but did fantastic. She got straight A's all year! Like really high straight A's. We had always planned on having her wait another year to start kindergarten, and I still wished we did. She wasn't ready emotionally, but academically she is rocking it. She reads like a pro, and is coming along with her math perfectly.
Hailey also had an amazing year. Her teacher told me at the beginning of the year that they go through a lot of changes and grow so much in fourth grade, and boy was she right. Hailey and I but heads constantly, but she has matured quite a bit this year. She is an amazing friend and student. She has gotten all A's except for a C at the beginning, which her teacher says is because she was rushing and not taking her time to read directions. Luckily she slowed down, because her grade shot right up. She definitely has Jaren's math sense, not mine haha! And boy can she spell! I almost wish our charter school had a spelling Bee, because she would love it! One thing that made me super proud was that she was always willing to help at school. They got out of school fifteen minutes before I could leave, and she was always helping her teacher or Addy's teacher. Sweet girl!
Anyhow, the day of school was on a Wednesday, where they all had their school parties. They both had so much fun. Thursday was supposed to be a fun day at a trampoline park, and then I technically had to work Friday. However, poor Hailey got a terrible stomach bug, and we missed going in Friday. I wasn't planning on them going to the trampoline park anyway, because it was going to be way too crowded. We are SO happy that it is summer vacation, and that we are not on a schedule anymore.
This was a week before school got out, on
Teacher Appreciation Week. Addy got her
teacher some chocolate candies and a
Target gift card. She was so excited to give it to her.
Hailey got her teacher a personalized
cup and filled it with her favorite candies.
She had been waiting months to give this to her!
Last day of school!!!
Addy's class party!
This is her little desk partner, Ellie. Addy just loved her!
She got to make paper air planes.
Her teacher did a bunch of fun little
experiments with the kids, they loved it!
Addy's sweet teacher gave me a new
cup filled with candy and a gift
card to Texas Roadhouse. She is so sweet!
Hailey's class party. Sadly, I only took this one picture, sorry Hailey Bug.
Addy missed doing a project one day when
we had to leave school early, so she made it
at home. A HUGE flower. It turned out so cute.
Poor Hailey and her stomach bug. She couldn't keep anything
down for about 24 hours. I haven't seen her that sick in a long time.

Finally feeling better and eating
chicken noodle soup.
