Egg Experiment and Giant Bubbles

I have really been trying to keep the girls busy with fun activities this summer.  We did the egg experiment, which wasn't super hands on, but still fun.  You just add an egg to a mason jar filled with vinegar, and it eats the shell away.  I think it's super disgusting, and it makes me never want to eat eggs again haha.  But, the girls loved their squishy egg at the end.  Being the germaphobe that I am, I let them touch it and squish it over the sink, then down the disposal it went!

The other activity we did was making giant bubbles.  Or should I say "trying" to make giant bubbles?  We bought a wand off of Amazon, but it didn't work too well.  We ended up going to Lowes and made our own wands, which work better, but still not great.  I think it's our solution.  We've tried three different recipes floating around on the web.  They do make bubbles, they just don't close off and float away.  But, we are not giving up.  Plus, the girls have still been having fun, usually with the neighbor boys, trying to do bubbles in the evenings.

 Hailey loved squishing it!

She's like "my precious egg" haha.
