The Petersen Family: Christmas 2015

We had a great Christmas this year. The kids woke up super early, as usual, and were SO excited to open presents. I put some cinnamon rolls in the oven, and we got busy opening. We usually (okay, me, not Jaren haha) go WAY overboard at Christmas, but tried not to this year, but it was still hard! They were so happy with everything, and had a blast opening. Jaren and I were boring this year, and picked out our own gifts haha! There were a few things we each needed/wanted, so we just made it easy on each other and shopped on Amazon together. I did surprise him with a remote control airplane though, which was fun. I said it was from the dog though, so he couldn't get mad haha!

After opening gifts, the kids played and went and rode Hailey's new Go Kart! That thing is so stinking fun. At one o'clock we had the Petersen get together. We had a chili potluck lunch, the kids exchanged gifts, and then we had the adult gift exchange, which was hilarious, as usual. That gift exchange is seriously the highlight of the Christmas season lol. The gifts are always so funny!

Other than that, we had a pretty relaxing day! I am usually ready to take the decorations down the next day, but we ended up keeping them up until New Years!
