She is doing AWESOME in school! We are so proud of her. She is doing great in all subjects and has become an excellent little reader. The goal for each student in her class is to read at least one hundred books for the year, and Hailey is already at 95! I think she is trying to beat everyone in the class. She is still going to dance and piano. She was struggling with piano for awhile there, and I had to ask her teacher to start back at easier lessons. She was being shown how to play a song, and then memorized it, but wouldn't look at the notes, which meant she wasn't learning the notes. I did what any good mom would do......ran out and bought the biggest bag of M&M's I could get my hands on to bribe her into learning the notes...haha. Okay, so probably not the best idea, but hey, she is learning the notes now! And if it takes some bribery, I'm all for it. She loves to play piano, and I know if she can get past the hardest part of learning the notes, she will love it even more. Dance is going good, but I'm not sure she is enjoying it as much as she should. We are contemplating cancelling it, but we will see. Jaren really wants her to learn martial arts, and that is something I know Hailey would LOVE! So....we'll see. Hailey is SOOOO excited for the upcoming holidays. She is always making crafts for them, and just tonight before bed, she told us that when she woke up in the morning, she was going to start on Christmas and Valentine's Day crafts...haha, so cute!
Before school, in her new pink shirt. I told her I was
going to call her Barbie, because she was in pink, and
looked so cute, she thought it was funny.
Everyone thinks she lost a tooth, but that's just her "cute little
gap", as we call it. One of her front teeth is pretty loose. I keep
telling her to wiggle them so she can say "all I want for Christmas
is my two front teeth", plus, I love kids with no front teeth, it's so cute!
Striking a pose, classic Hailey!
Silly sisters ♥♥
Letting Buttercup tastes an apple. Hailey sure
loves this bunny!
Playing Candy Land before bed. Jaren and I try not to let
the girls know, but we secretly DESPISE this game! It's
SOOOOO boring...haha, but to them it is not, and I
guess that's all that matters. We just cringe when they say
they want to play it...lol. Along with this game, we've been
playing Go Fish and Memory, which is pretty fun!
Hailey's little goldfish that she won from her Fall Festival
died...and it was pretty traumatic for her. We're talking
forty-five minutes of sobbing...poor girl. She DID NOT
want us flushing it, so we gave it a little funeral and buried it
out back. She made little flowers and put them in a cup. The
next day while she was at school, her other fish died. I was
dreading telling her all day. When I finally picked her up and
told her, she was fine! Haha....guess she got it out of
her system the day before. We buried it next to it's buddy.
I go back and forth with letting the girls watch T.V before
school in the mornings. They argue and whine and I'm
like "NO MORE!!!" Then, I cave and let them. When I'm not
letting them, I let them watch shows on my phone, because
that is TOTALLY different....haha, kidding. I guess I am not
the most consistent parent, you could say!
