Addy and the Princess Party

Addy was invited to a pretty awesome birthday party for a little girl named Cristobelle, who is in her class.  She had a party (just for fun) a few months ago, but we couldn't make it.  This time, it was her birthday, and she was throwing a princess themed party.  I had planned on only taking Addy for only an hour and a half, because it was a three hour party, and we had a very busy day.  But, we got there, and it was so much fun, we stayed the whole time.  This family is very well off, and threw an amazing party.  There was a princess that came every hour, balloon twisting, face painting, piñata, games and more.  There was pizza and hot dogs and a HUGE spread of appetizers.  Addy has had such a hard time during the past couple of years in social situations, and she is starting to open up and not be as scared.  I love seeing her with her friends, and being goofy and silly.  She had such a good time, but I told her not to get any fancy ideas for her party haha!

All ready to go.  I love that she dressed
up for the party haha!  This one always
wants to do her hair...and makeup!

Getting her nails painted by Belle.  This
was right when she walked in the door, and it
took a little convincing to have her do it...silly.

The piñata.  This was a cool piñata where instead
of batting it, you pull strings, and one breaks it.  They
had the girls pull them all at once.  They loved it!

Snow White arrived!  Look how happy Addy looks!
Ahhh to be five years old again ♥♥

Hard to see, but they were dancing with the princesses.

The balloon twisting lady made her a
beautiful flower.  She loved it!!

 Elsa came too!

She got her face painted by Elsa.  She sat and
waited in line so patiently, and it took forever.  First they
took the girl behind her, then they had to go eat, then they
squeezed in the birthday girl when Addy was up....finally it was her turn.  She
is so sweet and waited so patiently.

The most delicious cupcake ever!!!!

Kayaking

Jaren bought a kayak a couple of years ago, and used it maybe three times.  I told him last month that we should sell it.  What does he do?  He goes out and buys another one haha!  When he bought his first one, his nephew, Eric, also bought one.  Then a couple of weeks ago, Eric bought a second one, and so Jaren did too.  Hopefully with each of them having a second one, we can go out more often, as a family, or they can take friends.  The two of them went out one evening after work, and kayaked down the lower Salt River.  They said it was a blast, and so we planned on taking our kids.  Eric and Britney also went with their two kiddos.  I was really nervous, since I had never been on the Salt River in the 38 years I've lived here!  Crazy!  My parents were always too nervous for me to go, and I am a huge worrier, so I never really wanted to.  I was extremely scared to take our girls, but Jaren told me the lower river was pretty calm, plus we all had life jackets, so I was okay.  Still nervous, but felt better.  Addy sensed my nervousness and wanted to be with Jaren though haha!  Smart girl she is!  Anyhow, we had tons of fun!  We saw wild horses, a beaver and a bald eagle.  We were floating so peacefully and when Hailey saw the bald eagle she started singing the Star Spangled Banner at the top of her lungs, it was so funny!

Love these two little sisters so much ♥♥

No wonder I had a kink in my back haha!
Look how far I'm leaning back.  Jaren said
he just thought I was relaxing!

Picking Peaches

We have a place near us called Vertuccio Farms, and every year you can go pick peaches.  We've done it twice now, and the girls really enjoy it.  The peaches are delicious!  Too bad they don't last very long!

Hailey's Venus Fly Trap

I told Hailey about venus fly traps, and she wanted one so bad!  We thought about ordering them online, but the reviews weren't great.  We looked at Home Depot, and called some nurseries, but they didn't have them.  She was so bummed, until we walked into Lowes and they had them!  Haha..never thought she'd get so excited over a plant.  So, we got the plant, and it is WAY harder than you think to get it to eat a bug.  Like, seriously hard.  We did get it to eat a gnat, at least we think.  It closed on it, then opened later, and looked like the bug was not digested.  But, apparently it just leaves the skeleton, and looks like it's still intact...gross.  We also almost got it to eat a caterpillar, which was pretty disgusting. It trapped it in there and you could see it's little eyes, almost pleading with you, to help it lol.  Anyhow, it escaped, and since then we have just watering it and keeping it under an ultraviolet light.  We should probably try to give it a bug, but I'm too grossed out haha!

Haha...we sat here for ten minutes watching it
try to trap a gnat.  Talk about cheap entertainment.

My Little Workout Partners

Both Jaren and I have been trying to eat better and workout, and our girls LOVE to workout with us.  I hope we are inspiring them to take care of their bodies while they are young!  It's such a hard habit to get into it, but it does get easier and easier the more you do it.  Anyhow, I have to say, I have the cutest workout partners ever!!

 Haha silly Hailey.

Addy's Eye Appt

Addy had another follow up eye appointment.  Her doctor says her eyes are doing great, and he can tell her brain is working hard to keep them aligned.  So, fingers crossed that she will keep on doing awesome and will not need anymore surgeries down the road!

She is always the happiest girl at
her appointments.  The nurse practitioner
just loves her, and tells her she looks
like a little Elsa from Frozen.

Haha goof ball!
