Addy Butterfly Wonderland Field Trip

Addy's preschool had a field trip to Butterfly Wonderland.  I wasn't sure if we'd even go at first, because Addy freaks out if a fly is in the car!  Jaren gets annoyed that I passed my fear of every type of insect onto her lol!  Anyhow, I decided we would go, and we surprised Hailey that she could skip school and go.  Hailey had been once before, and LOVED it!  We had a nice time, but Addy was definitely not a fan of that many butterflies all around her.  I don't blame her, I think it's really neat and freaky all at the same time haha!  After that we drove home and the kids got happy meals for lunch.

Look at those cute little cousins ♥♥

Hiking in the Superstition Mountains

We went hiking this past Saturday and it was so fun!  I have never hiked anything but Usery Pass with Jaren, so this was a nice change.  We went with Jaren's brother Jace and his boys.  The weather was perfect, and the climb wasn't too hard.  The girls both did awesome!  Addy walked almost the entire time, and only got carried by Jaren and Jace for a little bit!  We definitely need to invest in some hiking shoes if we are going to be doing more hiking, although we will be heading into the hot months before we know it!  We hiked up pretty far, and there was a little bit of running water, which I had no idea would be there, pretty neat.  There were also some very hungry squirrels that the girls loved!

So pretty!  When I was younger I used to think the
desert was so ugly!  Now, I think it's beautiful!

 All ready to hike!

Taking a break about two minutes into our hike haha!

Addy getting a lift from Daddy!

I told Hailey to smile and she looked at me,
clenched her fists and said "you're making
me lose my temper!!!"  Ummm....okay!?  Haha.

 There, that's better!

My little family ♥♥  Love these three!

These rocks were so smooth from water running over
them and polishing them!  We kept almost slipping!

 Hailey, making me VERY nervous!

Hard to see, but this little squirrel kept coming
out for bits of granola bars.

 Looking for the squirrel.

Luke and Hailey were annoyed that somebody
shoved their trash into this crack between
these two huge rocks.

 She liked this little cave.

 Taking another break.

See that HUGE boulder balancing on a smaller
boulder way at the top?!  Scary!!

Heading back down.  It took us about two and a half hours.
