Fall is Here

Hooray, it is finally FALL!!!  Almost makes suffering through the miserable summer worth it!  Not a whole lot is going on with us, just chugging along!  Jaren is super busy at work, and that's about it.  He hurt his back pretty bad, and hasn't been doing much else.  He's not even sure how he hurt it, but he's walking like he's about ninety years old half the time!  I keep telling him to go to the doctor, but of course he won't!  Although, in his defense, I did make him go to the doctor once because I thought he had some horrible infection on his feet, and it turned out to just be athlete feet...haha!  He was so darn embarrassed!  Copay and taking time off work when he could've just used an over the counter cream...oopsie!

Hailey is doing AWESOME in school!  We just got her six week report card and she got all A's.  She is reading chapter books like crazy, and is doing awesome in math.  Her teacher said she is in the top three for math, and she is always asking for more math papers.  I should know, she comes home with about ten extra math sheets a day, which are now in a massive pile on my counter!  Hailey is loving her school, but can't wait to get into the new building.  Unfortunately, it looks like mid November now before it's ready!  I'm so bummed they are going to have to do their Fall Festival in the parking lot.  Oh well, the kids probably could care less where it's at, as long as there are fun things to do and win!  Other than that, Hailey is doing awesome.  She still has her "feisty streak", and is always trying to make us laugh, when she's not trying to make us mad...lol.  She LOVES to make books and write things out, which gives me a lot of ideas for Christmas!

Addy!  Sweet little, timid Addy.  She is just such a momma's girl!  She LOVED preschool until the day after she went to the doctor for her four year old check up and shots.  After that checkup, she said she hated preschool and didn't want to go.  I let her miss one day, then the next day I had to pry her out of the car!  She hopped the seats and would go from the front to the back until I just had to grab her.  It was awful, for both of us!  It was pretty rough for a week, and then the next week not too bad.  She also started to hate soccer!  I really think getting the shots had something to do with it.  It's like she thought that if she left me, something bad, like the shots, was going to happen to her again.  Poor girl.  She has always been very timid and overly cautious, but man, it was getting bad for awhile there.  We are trying some essential oils, and she is getting better and not freaking out as much.  Poor girl!  She really does love preschool and learning.  She is doing awesome at her letters, and is telling us she wants us to teach her to read!  We better get to working on her letter sounds, because she is one smart cookie like her big sister.

Me, I'm just staying busy and going crazy trying to raise these girls!  I think I do a pretty crappy job most of the time, but I'm told most moms feel that way at times.  I really need to work on my patience, especially with Hailey.  She's trying so hard to be more independent, but I'm a control freak who needs to lighten up!  At least I can admit this to myself and know I need to work on it.  I think organizing the house and our days would help too!  Enough venting.  Other than being busy with kids, I'm REALLY excited to get our garden going again.  We had a couple of seasons of a pretty good garden, and it was so fun.  But, when I hurt my back and ended up having surgery, the garden pretty much fizzled out.  The girls miss it too.  They used to love to go outback and pick the vegetables.  It's been a couple of years since we had one, and I'm SO excited to start again.  Other than that, I'm also trying to get healthier.  I've been doing tons of exercising and am trying to make better food decisions, but, it's hard!  And, this is probably the worst time of year to try to eat healthy....ha!

I signed the girls up for their first Home Depot craft.  Hailey
didn't end up going, so we brought her one home.  It was a
bird house, and she LOVED putting it together.

Addy at Home Depot.

Addy loved helping put her bird house together.
Once we got home, she painted hers!

The girls have been wanting a tent FOREVER!  Jaren always
tries to convince me to have a camp out in the back yard, but
I cringe every time!  I would SO much rather be in my nice
comfy bed!  Anyhow, while we were out on a date, we stopped
and got them this cute little tee pee tent.  They were SO happy!

The tent stayed up for a week and a half until
I was so sick of looking at it!  Plus, the girls slept
in it every night, and always ended up rolling into
each other and someone always ended up crying
at 2AM...sigh!

Addy got a new dress from Kid to Kid and
would not take it off...haha.  She LOVES this dress
so much.  She wore it to church three Sundays in a row!

Treat from the grocery store.  She's such a good girl
when I take her shopping!

We promised Hailey a Bahama Bucks if she got
an A on her spelling test!  She was SO excited!

It was Addy's turn to be queen at preschool,
and she was bringing her stuffed chick
for show and tell!  Grandma Petersen gave
it to her for her birthday and she LOVES it.

The girls spent a good hour out back
having a car wash for their bikes & scooters!

These girls are coloring TONS lately.  We definitely need
new coloring books for Christmas!  They will sit down and color
for nearly two hours!  Jaren has also been coloring with them,
and they love it!  Such a good dad ♥

Addy looking a bit high....haha!  She was throwing a MAJOR
meltdown!  I mean shake the house with her screams major!
She was overly tired, and nothing was calming her down.  I
have no clue now what she was even mad about, but I tried
distracting her by giving her a lint brush and telling her to
try to get all the fuzzy's off the bean bag.  She screamed
"no", and then two second later she was cleaning away...haha.

All Happy!

Hailey learned how to put yoga on the Wii fit board.

Our little football player!

Yes, that's underwear on her head.  Don't even ask...haha.

Cute little sisters watching the rain ♥

Recent trip to the Phx Children's Museum!

Play hot dog stand at the museum.

I found this on the back of Hailey's school
work.  John is her cousin...haha!

Addy loves to take her triple doll stroller with us
when we go shopping or to the library.  She only had
one baby in it this time, and everyone kept asking
her where the other kids were...haha!

On the computer at the library.  How is this girl
old enough to play on computers?!  She needs to
stop growing up!!!

We surprised Hailey with Wendy's at school!
She was so shocked and excited to see us!

Buttercup, cute as ever!  Unless she starts getting
into my garden!!!

We got a new hammock, since our last one was a rope type one,
and it ended up in pretty bad shape.  We've been waiting for the
weather to finally cool down before buying one.  It finally did,
so we went to Home Depot and found a cute, brightly colored striped
one.  Addy was cranky and didn't want her picture taken :(

But this girl was all smiles!

Report card donuts!  Krispy Kreme gives
a free donut for each A, she got six donuts!
Can you tell she was excited?  I probably shouldn't
admit that she ate three donuts that day!!

My littler helper in her pajama top, undies and tap shoes...haha.
Addy loves to help!  I was mopping floors and she was
moving all the chairs for me....sweet girl!
