Grandpa Brooks

Grandpa Brooks passed away.  He passed a way on Tuesday and his funeral was held on Saturday.  We are sad that he is gone and we will not be able to see him anymore, but happy is no longer suffering and is re-uniting in heaven with Katie, Vera and baby Kathy.  This was Hailey's first death of a loved one.  She took it pretty hard when we told her.  We decided to take her to the viewing and funeral.  She did great, until we went to the cemetery.  She sobbed for twenty minutes, it was the most heart wrenching thing to watch.  Afterwards all of the grandkids got to pick some flowers from the flower arrangements to take home with them, which made Hailey very happy. 

 What a stud muffin Grandpa was back in the day!!
