Hailey had ANOTHER birthday party to go to this weekend. Since starting kindergarten, she has come home with five invitations. I feel bad telling her she cannot go to all of them, because I volunteer in her class and am really getting to know each of the kids, and they are SO cute and fun! I almost didn't let her go to this last one. I had a bad feeling about it, but let her go last minute. When we got there, it was in a terrible neighborhood. She wanted to go so bad, and I felt like I couldn't tell her no at that point. When I walked her in, there were tons of people, and dogs running around. She is afraid of other people's dogs, so that made me nervous. I drove off and called my mom telling her how worried I was. Two hours later I went to pick her up. There were people coming and going from the house, grubby looking men outside hanging out. Ughhh....I learned my lesson there. Next time I will get a sitter for Addy and stay at the party with her. Turns out they had their whole family and all of her friends come to the party. I feel really dumb that I let my sweet little five year old go to a party, in a craphole neighborhood, with people I don't know! When I picked her up, there were kids EVERYWHERE. Outside, inside, in bedrooms with doors shut....everywhere. You can never be too safe. I felt like there was no way the parents, or whomever was in charge, could keep track of all of those kids. It was chaos! Hailey told me the dogs started fighting and the cats peed on the trampoline. I said "the same trampoline you were just jumping on?"....she said YEP. Awesome!
Despite the whole crappiness of the birthday party, she did make some
really cute wrapping paper with her big roll of paper! So cute!!
