Hailey Turns Nine!!!

Wow, I cannot believe our first born is nine years old!  Time really does fly.  Seems like everyone with older kids are always saying to enjoy them while they're young, and it's true.  Even though the days seem long, before you know it, weeks and years are going by.  Hailey REALLY wanted a friend party this year, but she had one last year, and we decided on alternating friend parties and family parties for each year.  So, this year was her family party.  She was so sad that John and Reagan were going to be in Utah, that we decided to celebrate on her actual birthday with just our little family, and have a family party with the Petersen side the following Sunday.  So, lucky girl, got to have two parties!

She woke up that morning and was so excited to see her birthday gifts and balloons on the table.  She couldn't wait for Jaren to wake up so she could open them.  The hour of waiting was torture to her haha!  She LOVED her gifts.  We bought her the entire series of the show Full House, her favorite show.  She's so excited for the new series to come on.  We are actually trying to limit her TV, so that might have been a dumb parent move haha, seeing as there are 192 episodes!  She also got a little sewing kit where you get to make your own stuffed animals, a book series, and her own two liter of Rootbeer, her favorite.

We had church, then she came home and watched some of her new shows, Nana and Papa came over, and then we went and flew Jarens remote control plane and rode her go kart with Jace and the boys.  She got to pick dinner, pizza, and then we had cake.  She had planned on making donuts with her new donut maker, but we bought her a little cake instead, and it was DELISH!!!  All in all, I think she had a great day!  Happy Birthday Hailey Bug, we love you!!

Our elf stayed past Christmas so she could
be here for Hailey's birthday!

Pancakes for breakfast.  She wanted a heart shaped
one, it turned out, until I had to flip it, darn it.  Oh
well, she loved it just the same!

 So excited to open!

This girl loves to read.  This book series looked so cute.  It's
about four best friends who get to go into Tinkerbell's world.

At church.  She got sang to in primary, and then
got to go to the bishops office for treats!

After church Nana & Papa came over and brought
donuts and a gift.  Hailey said she didn't care about
the gift, she just wanted to see Nana & Papa....sweet girl!

They got her a ten dollar gift card to
Walgreens, which she LOVED!  We went a couple
days later, and she picked out fake handcuffs (haha)
and a magic eight ball, which she loves.

Cute sisters on the go kart.  They LOVE this thing!

I didn't think this little cake was going to
be the greatest, but it was the BOMB!!!

Hailey being silly, singing a funny
song that she made up.  She is
always trying to make us laugh!

Hailey chose donuts to bring to school
for her birthday treat.  She had to bring
three dozen!!!

She also got spotlighted as the Star Student.
