Visit to Fountain Hills

Last Sunday we had a lazy afternoon so we decided to go walk around

Fountain Hills so the girls could see the huge fountain. The weather

was actually pretty nice, and the girls enjoyed walking around, 

getting shoulder rides from Jaren & climbing trees!

One funny thing that happened....on the way there Jaren was explaining

to Hailey that we were going to a different city.  On the car ride 

home, Hailey said "are we still in America?"  Haha, funny girl!

Playing School

Hailey LOVES it when Addy plays school with her.  She loves to teach

her numbers & letters and how to color.  I love listening to her be

the teacher, it's so cute!  This day they set up school in the hallway.   

Goofy Girl

Addy is a crack up!  She does the silliest things, 

and then says "wookit me". 

 She LOVES shoes!  I told her to say "cheese".  So cute!

We were eating dinner and had just told Hailey to get her feet

off the table.  Being the copycat little sister that Addy is....we hear 

her say "wookit me", and turn around to find her like this.  Haha.

Every morning this is where you will find Addy when Jaren is

in the bathroom, saying "hi daddy", over and over and over again!  

 

This is what happens when you buy your five year old stamps, she

uses her little sister instead of paper.  Addy seemed happy about it :)

Organization....

I am an organizer wannabe!

Organizing to me is dumping same type toys

in a basket & calling it good.  But, that never lasts more

then two seconds, if that, and it's a disaster AGAIN!  

This afternoon I tackled Hailey's desk!  It was stacked with books, 

crayons, markers, stamps, stickers & all that fun stuff.

Addy and I headed over to the dollar store & Michael's.  We picked up lots of little baskets & cute containers.

I didn't take a picture of her desk before....but it looks MUCH better now!

 Now there's a spot for everything!

 I picked up a BIG green basket on sale at Michaels.  Now her books

are out of the way and won't be falling all over the place on her desk!

Cutest ballerina EVER!

Hailey is starting her third year of dance with Mrs. Wendy.  This year,

she is signed up for beginning ballet, for ages six and up.  She looks so grown
up in her little leotard & tights.  Her hair has to be in a "real" bun, which she LOVES.  When she tried it all on, she said "can this be my job when I grow up?"  So cute!

 Not sure if this is a ballet move....haha, but it's cute!

While pulling sheets off the beds to throw in the wash,

we decided to pull the mattresses out and make

a bounce place!  Weeee...........

Thoughtful Girl

The last few months of preschool Hailey started to get really interested

in writing out words.  Now that kindergarten has started,

she LOVES writing even more!  She is always asking

us to help her write words, and has even written 

some on her own (mom, wow, cat).

I haven't felt good the past few days, so she had

Jaren help her with a card, so cute!!

Funny Stuff

These pictures were taken awhile back,

but I wanted them in the blog for

when I eventually turn them

into books.

 This photo CRACKS me up!  One day Hailey put

her toy butterfly net over her face....and this

was the result!  She looks like an old lady!

For awhile, this was the face I saw every morning

while taking a shower.  Addy would sit out

there and wait for me.  So FUNNY!

Haha....self explanatory!

Don't ever leave the lid of the Desitin Cream.  Water was literally

beading off of her skin as I cleaned her off!!  That stuff is horrible!

Silly girl!  Hailey got into my concealer and thought

it was lipstick. She was so proud of herself  :)

Hailey's best bud!!

This is Hailey & her

BEST friend Makenzey.

I guess you could say Makenzey was Hailey's

first "real" friend.  When we moved into 

our house two years ago, they moved 

in RIGHT next door!

At first they would yell over the backyard fences 

to each other, then started playing soon

after that.  They were both 3 1/2 when they met!

They were born the same day, six hours apart!

Hailey has LOVED having her right next door!  Unfortunately, 

Makenzey and her family are moving  :(  

I'm not sure Hailey quite grasps the fact that she will no longer be

able to run next door and play with her.  Lucky for us, they aren't

moving too far away, so the girls will still be able to get together!

I have visions of a horribly sad Hailey on the day they move!

I am picturing their car driving away, as Makenzey looks

out the back window, and Hailey runs down the street

after them!  Hopefully it will not be that dramatic..haha.

These girls have sure had some fun together!

Weekend Fun...

We LOVE the weekends!

We have come to love them even more since Hailey

has started school and week days get so hectic.

Friday was tiring!  Jaren was trying to run cables

for tv and spent most of the day up

in the attic!  It was AWFUL!  But...he 

got it done and we will only be 

spending $16 a month for tv!  Yipee

The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing.  We hung

out around the house, Hailey had some play dates, 

we went on a few bike rides, swam and had

a water balloon toss.  

 So cute!  While Jaren and I were cooking in the kitchen,

Addy cooked in the girl's kitchen.  She kept stirring her pot 

and bringing the spoon to us saying... "try".

Rain....

Just when we thought we were done with monsoon

season & rain, we woke up to a wonderful

sight, a HUGE storm rolling in.

I dropped Hailey off at school and it started raining

about an hour later, rained hard for a few hours,

then pretty much drizzled the rest of the day

until I picked her up from school.

Hailey LOVED seeing the park that

we ride bikes in TOTALLY filled up with water!

After school the girls played in

our backyard that had water

puddled up in areas.

Our sensitive one....

Hailey is our little "tender heart"......

Our Beagle, Chester, died 

over two years ago.

About once a month, Hailey will

say she misses him, and just

start sobbing.  It is one

of the saddest things 

to watch!

About two months after he died, we got another Beagle

puppy, but it was just to hard with a new baby and

a new puppy, so we had to find him a new home.

Just the other day, after one of her cries over 

him, I found this taped to the outside

of her door.  Awwww  :(

I will forever feel guilty for getting rid of the other puppy,

even though she handled it really well.  We keep telling her

that if she can listen really good for a couple of months, we will

get a puppy.  However, I feel like I'm gong to get guilted

into getting one way before that.
