Addy turns two....

Our little Addy girl turned two today.....

I cannot believe it has been two years already!  We

are so lucky to have such a fun, loving,

sweet little girl!

I have been looking

EVERYWHERE

for a used Cozy Coupe to paint

like a ladybug (Pinterest idea!).

Finally found this one 

on craigslist, but it's in such 

great shape I'm not sure I'm

going to paint it now.

Bugs....Ahhhhhhhh

I might have passed on my fear of bugs to Addy....

The poor little squirt is

TERRIFIED of bugs!

If a bug is flying around her,

she will FREAK OUT!

If we are driving in the car

and a fly is on the OUTSIDE window,

she will FREAK OUT!

If she is running away from me in

a store, all I have to say is 

"oh no, buggy", and she

will run right back to me!  

Haha...probably shouldn't do that!

Jaren says "oh great, look what you did to her".  

Haha...I can't help it.  I don't even like

ladybugs crawling on me!  

Poor girl, hopefully her fear of bugs will

lessen so she is not terrified of them

her whole life!

Hailey has a song in her heart!

She starts singing

about ten minutes after she

gets up and literally sings

All.  Day.  Long.

and we LOVE it!

Last night she went to bed

and I thought I heard

her talking when I walked by

the hallway.  I went in and 

she was asleep 

singing the Star Spangled Banner!

It was SO cute!

I didn't know but Jaren said he was teaching it

to her right before she went to sleep! 

First sick day....

Hailey had her first sick day from school......

She woke up with all

the signs of that 

horrible croup cough.

She was acting fine, but I didn't

want to be the bad mom that sent her

kid to school hacking!  

I did make her take a small nap, other than

that, she played all day, and Addy loved 

having her home!

They made a "lake" in the baby pool.

 

Mmmmmmmm......ketchup!

Saying Addy loves ketchup is a HUGE understatement!

She asks for it constantly! She likes 

to be a big girl and grab

it from the fridge when I open 

the door.  

When she says the word "ketchup", it actually

sounds like she is saying "trouble".

The other day she walked by 

a bottle of it and said

"hi trouble, by trouble". 

Hahaha...she cracks us up!

is help.  She was so excited 

when I found her little mop!

School Days....

The Big Day....

Today was the 

BIG  

day!  

She did so good!  She loved her teacher, recess, making friends, eating lunch at school, and playing games.  She was most excited that she actually got homework to do!  Haha...silly girl.  And she was annoyed that she didn't get to meet the principal (she has been saying for days that she wants to see him).

She did so good!  She jumped out of the car and said

"see ya" and ran to the playground.

Week of July 30, 2012

Monday us girls headed over to Nana  & Papa's house.  Hailey was dying to show them how she can ride her bike without training wheels.  Later that evening Jim and Gwen invited us to go do laser tag.  We all went, but when I got in there, I realized it was going to be hard to answer the work phone and watch Addy in the lobby area, so Addy and I headed home while they stayed to play.  That night Hailey stayed the night over at John & Reagan's house and actually made it through the night.  I have to admit though, I was almost hoping she came home!  I love having my girls tucked in their beds at night :)  Tuesday we headed to the park to feed ducks with John and Reagan. The rest of the week was a blur.  I don't  even remember what we did.  I know we went on a couple of family bike rides, went to visit grandma and grandpa Petersen and went to the library.  Not a very eventful week, like most weeks.  It was the last weekend of summer vacation for Hailey though  :(  She has Monday and Tuesday off and starts school Wednesday!

And so it begins....

I wish it was 2007, 

and I was bringing my tiny little

Hailey BUG

home from the hospital.

I wish I could rewind all

these years and

snuggle her in 

my arms

for hours.

I'm sitting here bawling like

a baby, remembering

all the firsts for her.

first bath, first smile, first

LAUGH!

Sitting up, crawling & walking.  Talking & singing!

Now, she is about to take another first.  

Kindergarten....in six days.

I'm trying to be excited for her, and I guess I am.  But then I have such mixed

emotions, and I get really sad about it.  She can be one feisty little

girl, but more than that, she is super sensitive and caring. 

I know she will have so much fun in kindergarten, but I also know that kids can be mean.  I guess it's the thought of someone teasing her, or her getting her feelings hurt without me there to comfort her that makes me feel awful.  

She is such a sweet little girl, and I know she will make friends fast.  I am just going to have stop dwelling on the "what if this happens" stuff and enjoy this new adventure with my little Hailey!

She seems more excited then I am about going...
